YOUNG PHILANTROPHIST PRINCE PASCHAL EZEKWE VISITS NEWLY FORMED CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF EKWULOBIA, PLEGDES SUPPORT

Young Anambra philanthropist from abagana town Prince. Paschal Ezekwe in the company of Tobenna Obaino, Explorer magazine editor went on a courtesy call to the newly installed Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia, the Most. Rev. Dr. Peter Okpalaeke.

The purpose of the visit, according to Prince. Ezekwe was to firstly, have a medium to pray with the Catholic Bishop, then of course, show solidarity to the Bishop and his newly created Ekwulobia Diocese, which has just been carved out of Awka Diocese.

In his words, “I came for prayers and to have the chance to reunite strongly with God, in His grace, divinity, care and protection. Most great men and women as we know them today, has a background of great religious life, and I understand what grace and God’s divinity can do in our lives. This is why I am here. I’ve also come to show love, support and solidarity to the Bishop and his new Cathedral”.

After a solemn moment of prayers, followed by discussions, as it relates to the church, it’s growth and God’s people, Mr. Ezekwe voluntarily offered through his Prince. Paschal Ezekwe Foundation making a huge donation towards the growth of the newly created Cathedral and in support of God’s work happening there.

The Chancellor of the Diocese, as well as the Secretary to the Bishop of the Diocese individually took turns to appreciate Paschal Ezekwe and his friends for coming through and kindly offering to support the Diocese. The Bishop responding, thanked the August visitors, and prayed God to grant their heart desires.

Coincidentally, the Bishop of the Diocese, Most. Rev. Dr. Peter Okpalaeke had taught one of Mr. Ezekwe’s cousin while they were in school. Also, this same cousin of Mr. Ezekwe happened to be a classmate of the Counsellor of the Diocese. Sadly, he didn’t make it to Priesthood, and has recently passed-on. The Lord bless his soul.

After meeting with the Bishop, they were given a tour around the Cathedral by the Vicar General of the Diocese, Very. Rev. Fr. Prof. Chiegboka. He took time to take them around, showing their progress thus far and their far-reaching plans. They saw the level of work going-on there, and were sure there’s indeed need for more support for the young Diocese.

It was a beautiful outing, especially coupled with the glory of God and blessings they received.

God bless His church, and us all.
