THEME PARK COMPANY TO PAY COUPLES $600 TO LIE IN COFFINS FOR 30 HOURS

Six Flags, a theme park company, is reportedly offering couples $600 to spend 30 hours in a coffin.

Fright Fest is a spooky event thrown by the theme park company to commemorate Halloween and as part of the annual tradition, Six Flags is continuing to ask customers to try scary challenges.

According to Fox 29 Philadelphia, for this year, Six Flags is doing a  "30-Hour Couples Coffin Challenge".

In previous years, the challenge had been individual tasks and this is the first year the challenge has extended to couples.

However, there are rules. Contestants' partners are only allowed to accompany them in the coffin during park operation hours. After the park closes, contestants will have to face the challenge alone.

"Well, not exactly alone, some of our Fright Fest ghouls will be lurking about in the darkness," the event’s website says.

No technology is allowed inside the coffin including smartphones, Apple watches, or headphones of any sort. Any person who gets out of their coffin will be automatically disqualified, with the exception of designated bathroom and meal breaks.

Each competitor will also get a "Get Out of the Coffin Free Card" to use for six minutes at any point during the challenge.

In addition to spending more than an entire day inside the coffin, contestants will also be required to participate in other spooky challenges like laying in a coffin covered in worms, going into a haunted house alone, and sticking their hand in a bucket to find a specific item.

Asides the $600 prize, Six Flags is also offering the winning couple a pair of gold season possessor the 2020 season and a Fright Fest prize package.

If more than one couple is left at the end of the 30-hour challenge, "the remaining finalists will compete head-to-head with a spicy hot sauce sandwich eating contest," the official rules state. The person to eat the entire sandwich first will take home the grand prize
