1. Limpopo- Kcee
"Oya limpopo. Baby, oya limpopo…" Kcee, a former member of the pop duo, KcPresh, certainly released the biggest song of 2013. The Del'B produced track, written by Harry song took over the airwaves and got Kcee an endorsement deal with telecoms company, MTN, and a nationwide tour with Star Music Trek, amongst other goodies.1. Sho le –

2. Gobe- Davido
Gobe almost took the shine off Sean Tizzle's 'Sho le' as the first single of the year for Omo Baba Olowo. It became an instant hit across the country and Africa. With production from usual suspect, Shizzi, Gobe instantly took over charts and dance floors for a good part of the first and second quarter of the year.

3.Caro - Starboy ft Wizkid & LAX: Love is such a beautiful story to tell and it was told exceptionally by Wizkid and fast rising Starboy act LAX in this sizzling number. Caro once again re-echeos Wizkid's penning skills. It's a stripping song about the search for a mystery girl; completely gripping listeners when it hit airwaves in August. Its a dance number that could get a DJ shot if missed in raving clubs. A beautiful performance that not only showed brilliance on the part of the acts but the transformation that happens to a song when driven by a gripping story.

4.Skelewu - Davido: [/b]This is one music that hit our airwaves lately this year, adjoined by controversies during the making of the video. It is still banging all over the nation, with new dancestep coming to replace the likes of Azonto and Etighi, in our dance preference, courtesy of is unarguably the biggest song of 2013

5. Ada Ada- Flavour
The wedding song released by afro-highlife singer, Flavour, went on to become a staple at almost all traditional and church weddings in 2013. The video won multiple awards including four at the Nigerian Music Video Awards, NMVA. It pulled over 2 million views on YouTube, thus, becoming the most watched music video in Nigeria for 2013.

6.Sean Tizzle
This was probably the first hit song of 2013. A certain Sean Tizzle teamed up with music producer D'Tunes's Difference Entertainment and broke into the industry with Sho Le (co-written by Sound Sultan). The club track didn't waste time in getting attention as it rocked the airwaves and several charts across the country.

7. Rotate – Wande Coal
Wande Coal, dropped a couple of singles in 2013 but Rotate stood out as one of the hits of the year. The Donjazzy produced song was heavily laced with Wande's usual rhyming style. The Black Diamond proved that he still had what made him the toast of music lovers in 2008.

8. Durosoke- Olamide
"Take it out side, basket; Take it inside, koroba …" that's the intro to Yoruba lingo rapper, Olamide's hit single, Duroske. The pop-rap single dominated the airwaves for a better part of 2013 even when Olamide released other singles or freestyle.

9. Personally- Psquare
The video dedicated to late pop icon, Michael Jackson, hit over a million views on YouTube within three months of its release.

10. Pullover Over – Kcee feat Wizkid
With a remix featuring producer, Donjazzy, and a video with cameo appearance by popular comedian, Saka, Kcee's Pullover was a super hit. Although released in the last quarter of the year, the video has over 748,000 views on YouTube, thereby ranking as the second most watched Nigerian music video of 2013.

11. GhostMode by Phyno ft. Olamide
This song one tha united the east and the west. Anyone who loves good music and listened to the song for the first time would love it. And these song began a marrage beween Phyn and Olamide as they have anoda song together.

12. The Matter by Maleek Berry ft. Wizkid
2013 seems o be Wizkids year. Any song he touched turned to gold. Everyone wanted him on their track cause he had the magic wand. The matter was a song that got all the campuses on fire.

13. Runmad by Terry G.
Terry G reintroduced himself with these song o remind us he is not going anywhere. After a brief silence, he came out with these song to remind us he is the number one mad man.

Abeg, anybody wey feel say all these songs no try, them which songs suppose dey there. From 1 to 13, all of them carry fire and at just the mention of their name, u go dey dance.

The registrar made the disclosure in a statement issued in Yenagoa on Monday.

Vice President Namadi Sambo is spending a fortune to furnish and upgrade his official residence and guest house, two projects costing N2.1 billion and lingering since his election alongside President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011.
In three years leading up to 2013, the government has spent a minimum of N300 million annually to furnish and upgrade the vice president's residence and guest house, according to past and present federal budgets.
The biggest spending -N900 million- for the upgrade and furnishing was done in 2011.
That year alone, N500 million was channelled into acquiring, upgrading and furnishing the vice president's guest house at Aguda House, while a separate N400 million was spent on purchasing some more furniture and extending the vice president's lounge there.
In 2012, the government spent additional N437.1 million for the "upgrading and furnishing" of the same guest house, and squandered additional N112 million solely on "household equipment" for Mr. Sambo's residence.
The installation of Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) facilities at the residence, was completed at a whopping N202 million.
This year, the vice president's Aguda guest house and his residence were furnished at a relatively modest N75.7 million, while landscaping at the residence alone was done at N26 million.
A new guest house for Mr. Sambo, at Yakubu Gowon crescent, Asokoro, was also given N170.7 million worth of furniture.
It could not be immediately confirmed how much of the proposed works have been implemented after spending more than N2 billion, an amount enough to furnish at least 200 primary schools where pupils attend classes under tree shades and sit on bare floors.
Such school furnishings are estimated at an average N10 million per school in the federal budgets.
Used differently, the amount can provide water in at least 200 Nigerian communities, based on the same budgetary estimates of N10 million community water scheme.
Despite the huge funding already, the government has made new allocations for the project for 2014, with the likelihood of even more spending for the vice president's furniture and upgrading coming in 2015.
If the National Assembly approves a new budget proposal submitted by President Jonathan, as it likely would since previous furniture allocations for Mr. Sambo were not blocked, then the government will spend an extra N123 million on Mr. Sambo's new guest house at Yakubu Gowon crescent.
Taxpayers will also buy kitchen utensils worth N8 million for the vice president.
The total N2.1 billion for furnishing and upgrading is far ahead of government's allocation for some key road projects within the same period.
The obscene allocations for Mr. Sambo's home and guest houses follows a trend that has seen the government repeatedly channel more funds for the convenience of public office holders while key projects suffer.
While the government claims it was cutting the cost of governance to address dwindling revenues and mounting developmental needs, it has for years continued to direct scarce funds for the luxury of its officials, providing them with exotic cars, homes, and other perks while more than half of Nigerians live on less than a dollar per day.
The presidency is one of the biggest beneficiaries of that anomaly.
In 2012, the presidency budgeted N1 billion for feeding, and half a billion naira for cars for President Jonathan and Vice President Sambo.
The car purchase was suspended after public outrage following media reports.
Mr. Sambo's office has become notorious for some of the administration's most outlandish spending. The cars the vice president was to receive would have been his second set in two years, having already spent N323 million on cars in 2011.
Also in 2012, the Federal Capital Territory Administration raised an already outrageous N7 billion for the construction of a home for the vice president by adding extra N9 billion to make it N16 billion.
The National Assembly finally blocked that request.
The furnishing and upgrading for the vice president was also listed in 2010, but under relatively modest subheads. The extension of the VP lounge, proposed for N207 million in 2012, was N30 million in 2010.

Jesus, the carpenter wey do these furnitures must be frm heaven o. My God, Chair N100 million; if u mess for that kind chair, e no suppose smell .

Press Statement from Edo State Government
Governor Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole survived a motor accident at Ewu Village along the ever-busy Benin-Auchi road in Edo State at about 9.45am Saturday, 28th December 2013 on his way back to Benin City from his Iyamho Village. The incident occurred at about 9.45am at Ewu, in Edo Central Senatorial District, when a Peugeot J5 Bus filled with tomatoes and plantains apparently lost control and rammed into the Governor's Flag Car from the opposite direction before swerving into a roadside ditch.
Three vehicles in the Governor's convoy were in front of the Governor's Flag Car and had passed the Peugeot J5 Bus before it [J5 Bus] had direct impact with the Governor's car, which had the Governor, his Aide-De-Camp [ADC] and his Driver as occupants. The Governor's Car was badly affected but both occupants of the Peugeot J5 Bus and that of the Governor's sustained no injuries.
The Peugeot J5 Bus was following a truck that was descending the Ewu Slope when it suddenly veered off into the Governor's lane from the opposite direction and directly impacted on the Governor's vehicle, apparently because of brake failure. The good story is that nobody sustained injuries in both vehicles. The Comrade Governor is hale and hearty, his ADC and other occupants of the Peugeot J5 are also in good condition.

The incident has been reported to the Divisional Police Station at Ewu for further investigation. This is to assure all good people of Edo State that there is no cause for alarm. The governor denied the rumour through his twitter handle on December 18.
There had been rumours that a daughter of the Nobel Laureate was expecting a child for Mr. Amaechi and that she was already living in the Government House.
It was further alleged that the governor's wife, Judith, had fled abroad following the domestic challenges she was having with her husband.
It was claimed that the absence of the First Lady gave Mr. Soyinka's daughter the opportunity to establish her full presence in the Government House.
But in the tweet, Mr. Amaechi debunked the rumour, saying it was a big lie, which was part of the ongoing campaign to smear his image.
"That rumour about me and Prof. Soyinka's daughter is a big outrageous lie. It's certainly part of the ongoing political campaign to smear….."
In another tweet, the governor said his marriage to his wife was intact, adding that they both love themselves.
"… and Prof. Soyinka. I have never and will never assault my wife Judith. I love her so much and she loves me too. Our marriage DEY KAMPE. (Top Form)."
On December 24, the governor tweeted a touching birthday message to his wife Judith. The message was accompanied by a romantic photograph, with the governor wrapping himself around his wife.
"Happy birthday to the most beautiful, loving, caring, trustworthy woman alive – my beloved wife and mother of my children, Judith. You've been a pillar to me, my partner through thick and thin. I love you so much my darling," he wrote.
He posted the same message to his Facebook page.

More than 160 people have been injured by fireworks in the Philippines as they prepared to welcome the New Year, the government said Saturday.
A 14-year-old boy who lost his right hand and an elderly man with a ruptured eyeball were among the worst injured so far, Assistant Health Secretary Eric Tayag said.
He tweeted that a five-year-old had also lost his right index finger from using fireworks.
The Asian nation of 100 million people traditionally greets the New Year by making noise in the belief it will drive bad spirits away.
Households start stockpiling fireworks around Christmas and start using them days before New Year's Eve.
Apart from fireworks, gun owners are another seasonal hazard as they fire their weapons in the air to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
Tayag said government hospitals had tallied 164 firework injuries in the runup to New Year's Eve, plus one case of a firecracker being swallowed.
"Active fireworks users (are) up by eight percent this year compared to 2012," he said, without giving figures.
He said one person was also wounded by a stray bullet.
Celebratory gunfire killed a four-year-old boy and more than 400 others were injured by powerful fireworks in the runup to 2013, according to police and health department tallies

A businessman, Tonye Okio, spent his Christmas and will start the New Year at a Bayelsa prison for allegedly criticizing the Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson, on his Facebook account.
Mr. Okio, who was also a former Abuja Liaison officer for Bayelsa State, was arrested on October 26 at his Abuja residence.
He was subsequently blindfolded and driven to Bayelsa by the Special Investigation Bureau, SIB.  The police also stripped Mr. Okio of his mobile gadgets and all postings on his Facebook account, ‘Tonye Okio’, about Mr. Dickson was deleted.
Two days after his arrest, the Bayelsa police released a statement that Mr. Okio was arrested for seditious publications against the Bayelsa governor.
“This is to inform the general public and the good people of Bayelsa State in particular that the Bayelsa police command has succeeded in apprehending one Tonye Okio ‘M’ of Otiokpoti, Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State for the offence of seditious publications.
“The suspects whose syndicate members are now at large will be appropriately arraigned in court when investigation is complete,” the police said.
The police then detained Mr. Okio for 10 days without trial. Mr. Okio’s lawyer subsequently filed a case at a Bayelsa High Court demanding his fundamental rights be obeyed and he be charged to court if he has indeed done anything wrong.
A day before his fundamental rights case was to be heard, the police on November 5, charged the victim before a Magistrate Court for defamatory publication against the Bayelsa governor.
After taking his plea, the Magistrate Court adjourned the case to November 21 for trial.
When the case came up on November, 21, the magistrate court granted Mr. Okio, an aide to ex-Bayelsa governor, Timipriye Sylva, bail in what a civil society activist described as ‘ridiculous conditions.’
The bail conditions included N5 million with one surety in like sum who must be a permanent secretary in the state and resident within the court’s jurisdiction.
Following the ruling, the victim’s lawyer, Doueyi Fiderikumo, prayed the court that it would be impossible to satisfy the condition because the complainant was the state governor who he suspected must have threatened most permanent secretaries in the state.
Sources close to the Bayelsa State government also told PREMIUM TIMES that no permanent secretary under the state’s employ dare stand as surety for Mr. Okio out of fear of the governor.
Although an application was filed at the Nembe Division of the Bayelsa High Court in the state to demand a variation in the bail conditions, the court reportedly fixed three consecutive days for hearing and was unable sit on any of those days.
A ruling on the review of bail application was slated for December but was again adjourned by the presiding judge, J. Buofini.
On the said date, the judge through the court’s registrar notified counsels that the ruling on the bail review application was not ready; and therefore the case was adjourned till January.

Well, still on the matter, many civil society groups for Bayelsa don dey shout say which kind treatment dem dey givethe man say make police release the man. But all that one nah tori for anoda day as police for bayelsa don use double paddlock lock the man cell.

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Saturday said the ongoing move by the All Progressives Congress (APC) was in the right direction to salvage Nigeria.
He also noted that resolving the challenges facing Nigeria had gone beyond party politics; and that doing what is best for the nation should be paramount.
Mr. Obasanjo stated this during his first round of meeting with leaders of the APC at his Hilltop private residence in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The ex-president said there was need for a viable opposition in a democracy pointing out that the formation and existence of the APC would enhance Nigeria's democracy.
"You are at home and you are welcome to be at home. As time goes on I will just appeal that the politics that will be played should be politics without rancour, without bitterness; politics with decency that has Nigerians at heart," Mr. Obasanjo said.
The two-term democratically elected president under the platform of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said he is an incurable optimist about Nigeria; and that he is totally committed to the country.
He said nothing would separate him from that commitment.
Mr. Obasanjo described the opposition leaders' visit as an honour he appreciated, saying "the visit is just in the right direction."
In his remark, a former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, appreciated the roles Mr. Obasanjo played in Nigeria's development, having passed through tribulations and surmounted several crises both as a soldier and a civilian leader.
"We are here because of your courage. Nobody can dispute the fact that you have information more than us," Mr. Tinubu said. "Nigeria is divided more than before. To realise a stable Nigeria, we want to encourage you to continue to speak the truth. We have resolved and (are) determined to rescue Nigeria; we want you to be our navigator."

The Registrar of the University of Ilorin, Emmanuel Obafemi, has said that the institution would, from January 2014, be fully digitalised.
Speaking on Sunday in Ilorin, Mr. Obafemi said that the development would make it possible for lecturers to be able to send assignments to their students via the Internet.
"As from January 2014, University of Ilorin lecturers would be able to send assignments to their students through the Internet from the comfort of their homes," he said, adding that students would also be able to respond via the same channel.
He said that the school had ordered for 25,000 pieces of mini iPads from the U.S. for the students to enable lecturers to send assignments to them from home.
He noted that the iPads were already fully loaded with the students' courses and each student would get one as they resume in January.

He expressed the readiness of the institution's administration to make the university one of the best in Nigeria and Africa.
Mr. Obafemi noted that the school would continue to encourage programmes and policies that promote global best practices in the education system.
The registrar gave an assurance that the institution would sustain the legacy of the past Vice Chancellor, Ishaq Oloyede.
"If you come here in another five months, you will see a positively different Unilorin and well managed institution," Mr. Obafemi said.

The Registar come boast say Unilorin neva go strike for the last 13 years and say nah the effort of the school management plus the student.

Students of the University of Nigeria on Wednesday protested against the suspension of the university's Chairman and Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Emeka Enejere, by the Federal Government.

The UNN students divided themselves into 11 groups and marched through the major streets of the Enugu metropolis, displaying various placards.
Some of the placards read, 'Recall Enejere now or we would burn down UNN', and 'You gave us a fraudulent man like Salisu Buhari as UNN board member, and you have now sacked a honest man like Enejere'.
Others read, 'FG, stop all these vengeful policies', 'It is Enejere or no school', among other statements.
The students warned that if the government failed to rescind its decision and recall Enejere, they would embark on an indefinite strike and boycott classes from January 2014.
One of them said, "We have thought deep and investigated and we see no reason why the Federal Government sacked Dr. Enejere. If they don't change their mind and cancel the suspension order, we would make UNN uncomfortable."

Activities at both the Nsukka and Enugu campuses of the University of Nigeria, UNN, were paralysed yesterday as over 1000 members of the university community abandoned their offices and converged on Nsukka campus to protest the suspension of the institution's Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Emeka Enejere by the Federal Government. They said that they would not open their offices for academic activities until the government brought the council chairman.
The aggrieved workers comprising members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, and the Non-Academic Staff of Universities, NASU and National Association of Academic Technologists NAAT, among others, demanded for the immediate reinstatement of Enejere.
The joint trade union of the university noted with dismay that the Supervising Minister for Education, Mr Nyeson Wike and the Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission Prof. Julius Okojie were bundles of intrigue, maladministration and abuse of office at the detriment of Nigeria universities.
The workers further explained that the two officers had been meddling into affairs of universities through "unconstitutional, uncivilized and outlandish strategies to frustrate universities," and then demanded the immediate removal of the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Barth Okolo, whom they accused of masterminding the suspension of Dr. Enejere, who had prevented some fraudulent activities by the present administration on campus.
Enejere was suspended on Tuesday by the Supervising Minster of Education, Nyeson Wike for yet to be disclosed reasons.
The workers, who carried placards with different inscriptions including "Pro-Chancellor must come back", "Enejere must come back", "Batho must go" during the protest which lasted for hours, chanted anti- Bartho Okolo slogans, demanding that he must be urgently removed to prevent the collapse of the institution.

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand  and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly.  Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn't know how  to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a  divorce. I raised the topic calmly.
She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I  avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the  chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn't  talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what  had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory  answer; she had lost my heart to Jane. I didn't love her anymore. I  just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce  agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30%  stake of my company.
She glanced at it and then tore it into  pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become  a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I  could not take back what I had said for I loved Jane so dearly. Finally  she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see.  To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which  had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The  next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at  the table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell  asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Jane.
When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In  the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn't want  anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce. She  requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a  life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a  month's time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken  marriage.
This was agreeable to me. But she had something more,  she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our  wedding day.
She requested that every day for the month's  duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door every morning.  I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together  bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Jane about my wife's  divorce conditions. She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No  matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said  scornfully.

My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my  divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on  the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us,  daddy is holding mommy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of  pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked  over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said  softly; don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat  upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to  work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us  acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the  fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this woman  carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There  were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had  taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On  the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy  returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.
On  the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was  growing again. I didn't tell Jane about this. It became easier to carry  her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me  stronger.
She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on  quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed,  all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown  so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me… she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our  son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mom out. To  him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential  part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged  him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change  my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from  the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand  surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was  just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me  sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a  step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn't  noticed that our life lacked intimacy.
I drove to office… jumped  out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay  would make me change my mind… I walked upstairs. Jane opened the door  and I said to her, Sorry, Jane, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She  looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. Do you have a  fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Jane, I said, I  won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I  didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each  other anymore. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on  our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart.
Jane  seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed  the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At  the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife.  The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote,  I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed – dead.

My  wife had been fighting CANCER for months and I was so busy with Jane to  even notice. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save me  from the whatever negative reaction from our son, in case we push thru  with the divorce –At least, in the eyes of our son— I'm a loving  husband…

As I read these stry finish, I no know when I begin dey cry. For relationship, money no be everything. All those little things wey we dey overlook nah him matter.
No dey overlook little things so that your relationship or marriage g sweet.

Argentina legend Diego Maradona believes Cristiano Ronaldo is more deserving of the FIFA Ballon d'Or than compatriot Lionel Messi.

The prestigious award is set to be handed out in Zurich on January 13, with Ronaldo, Messi and Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery all in the running to be crowned the world's best player.

A win for the Argentina international would see him ranked as the best player on the planet for the fifth year running, but Maradona claims 2008 winner Ronaldo should take the honour.

Former Argentina international Maradona, his country's coach for the FIFA World Cup in 2010, feels Messi's injury problems this season have held him back and Real Madrid forward Ronaldo has earned the accolade.

"Cristiano Ronaldo should win. Messi has been injured a lot this year," he told Algerian newspaper Le Buteur.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter caused controversy prior to the final shortlist being announced when he appeared to state his preference for Messi over Ronaldo.

He described Messi as a "good boy who every mother and father would like to have at home", adding that "he will always get a lot of votes because he is this nice man."

Abeg FiFa o, Ronaldo don try, make una give am this Award o. But sha, them fit still do magomago give Messi again.

Finally o, or maybe there is now December fool.Report reaching us from Minna, Niger State capital, indicates that the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has called off its five months strike.
The Union arrived at the latest decision to suspends its strike after a marathon meeting held at the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, Niger State on Monday.
After a protracted debate, the Federal Government and ASUU reached a compromise during a negotiation brokered by the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Abdulwaheed Omar few days ago.

So una don hear, students go do christmas for  campus o. we go give una more tori as e dey hoy.

The stage is set for the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities( ASUU) to call off the over five month old strike as the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the union holds a crucial in Minna tomorrow (Monday) to rectify the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the federal government.

The meeting which is being hosted by Federal Universityof Technology ( FUTMINNA) branch of the union was in fulfillment of the one week promised by ASUUPresident, Dr. Nasir Isa Fagge last Wednesday after the signing of the MoU with the federal government that members will meet to decide to call off the strike.

Like the last ASUUNEC meeting in Kano that was shrouded in high secrecy, the venue of today's meeting is kept to only members of NEC, as the meeting may not be holding in either Bosso or Gida Kwano campuses of the University.

The agenda of the NEC meeting was also not made public, but a source within the union said that the meeting will among other things consider the MoU, the leadership will present documents to show government's commitment, assess the impact of the industrial action and map out strategies on how to monitor and ensure implementation of the documented agreement.

A NEC member who spoke with our correspondent in confidence said, "we are here essentially to look into the MoU as ASUUPresident promised last Wednesday that members will review the development and decide to call off the strike. The meeting will also fashion out strategies for monitoring the implementation of the MoU".

Asked if the meeting will be calling off the strike, our source said, "I may not be able to answer that but my thinking which is personal is that, if our leaders could sign the MoU with government last week, I think we are close to a truce".

ASUUPresident had on Wednesday also gave hint of possible cessation of the action. According to Fagge after signing the MoU, "Within one week our members will meet and decide to call off the strike. We have a document here which shows that government is committed and all the things we demanded are in the letter.

"We will now take this document to our members and we are confident that our members will do the appropriate thing".

Efforts to reach ASUUPresident and the FUTMINNAbranch chairperson, Dr. Abdulfatai Jimoh failed. None of them could be reached for comment, but as at the time of filling the report yesterday about 30 members of the NEC were already in Minna for the meeting.

So nah one week to Christmas nah him ASUU head wan correct abi. Abeg make them talk say the strike go end next year o. Abi u want make students do Christmas for school?

The eagerly anticipated Guaranty Trust Bank End of the Year party held last night, and it lived up to the bar, except for one minor flop: Wizkid.

Social media was littered by fans who complained about the Star Boy artiste's performance, who were disappointed because the organizers had saved the best for the last.

Wizkid had come on stage in a stoned state, clearly not in the right frame of mind to perform, with fans saying he did "more talking than singing", and that "people stopped dancing when he came on".

The other performers were on point with the likes of Flavour, Wande Coal, and Olamide giving the crowd a swell time, up until Wizkid came up.

The organizers were obviously not pleased with Wizzy's performance, and the Star Boy reportedly worsening matters by getting in a fight back stage with Wande Coal.

Tottenham have confirmed that manager Andre Villas-Boas has been sacked following Sunday's 5-0 thrashing by Liverpool at White Hart Lane.

The defeat leaves Spurs in seventh place in the Premier League table, eight points behind leaders Arsenal and comes less than a month after they were thrashed 6-0 by Manchester City.

It was eported that the relationship between Villas-Boas and Daniel Levy had deteriorated to the point where he was no longer expected to remain at White Hart Lane beyond this season.

But following Sunday's humiliation their chairman Levy, who looked less than impressed watching from the executive box, has decided to take immediate action.

"The club can announce that agreement has been reached with Head Coach, Andre Villas-Boas, for the termination of his services," a statement read.

"The decision was by mutual consent and in the interests of all parties."

Besides discouragement, another weapon Satan uses often against believers is their weaknesses. He simply studies an individual for a period of time and not long after,he identifies d fellow's weakness and capitalises on it.Take for instance Peter.Satan discovered that Peter is a cowardly person - lacking in courage. He discovered this on d day Peter set out to walk on water with Jesus. He kept this close to his chest until Jesus was about to be crucified; then he arranged d circumstances and Peter thrice denied his Master. That denial was so fundamental that, but for d Lord's post-resurrection intervention,it could have kept Peter permanently separated from d Lord.Do u deny Jesus in some little way today? Are u afraid of declaring ur faith in Christ? If u are doing certain things or avoiding certain things so that people around u do not know that u are a born-again Christian, deal with that weakness now before d devil hijacks it and gets u to deny Christ when
it is a matter of life and death. Revelation 12:10 calls d devil d accuser of believers. The Lord had earlier seen Satan's plan to destroy Peter; therefore he prayed for him.He also put him on notice so that he could be on his guard (Luke 22:31-34).On d day of d Lord's trial,Satan was set for Peter. When Peter fell,Satan quoted God's word that whoever denies d Lord before men shall be denied by d Lord in heaven; and also that: no liar will enter heaven.Count three of d devil's charge was that: it is written,Curse not and Peter had cursed and sworn. He had several counts against him but thank God that d mercy of God was brought to bear in his situation. This was also why d Lord worked at getting him fully restored by thrice demanding a confession of his love for Him (John 21:15-19).Beloved,if Satan should have any grounds for accusing us today,he will rightfully quote relevant scriptures to back up his claims. This is why u must overcome ur weakness and quit
sinning secretly so as not to give him anything to charge u with.

Abeg, hope say u go think over wetin u just read so tthat God go fit do beta thing for ur life. Abeg go church o.

It was gathered that the Boko Haram Sect singled out the University of Maiduguri as the next target of its planned attacks on the city.

Apart from the University, the members of the Sect have also warned residents of Maiduguri to be prepared for another round of assaults for allegedly collaborating with security agencies in the fight against terrorism.

A security source hinted that the Boko Haram insurgents also warned residents to stay away from Federal Roads such as the busy Maiduguri-Damaturu-Bauchi Road and the Maiduguri, Damboa-Biu-Gombe Road.

The security source who confided in our correspondent on the rampaging insurgents warned that they would commence frequent attacks on the highways.

The union also said that it does not work on the basis of tribe or religion in pursuing its aims and objectives.
ASUU Calabar zone made this clarification in a statement issued in Umuahia, yesterday. by its coordinator, Dr. Charlie Ononuju in reaction to a certain publication which accused the union of being used by the APC.
