MIKE TYSON TO CHRIS BROWN: STOP PUNCHING PEOPLE OR ELSE......

Mike Tyson is worried about Chris Brown ... he thinks the pop star is too violent ... and if he doesn't cut the crap, CB is going to pay a very serious price. Tyson was a guest on the 95.5 PLJ Morning Show this morning ... when the gang asked if Mike, who's battled anger issues in the past, had any advice for Chris -- and Tyson delivered. "I like and admire that little guy," Tyson said ... adding, "I'm just worried about him."Tyson says he knows from experience that if Chris doesn't learn to control his rage issues, people will turn on him -- and "they're gonna put him somewhere where that's all they do is assault people."We're guessing he means prison. You gotta listen to the interview, it's incredible -- and Tyson ends with this gem: "Chris should know this ... if you're not humble in this world, this world will thrust humbleness upon you."

Nah true talk talk Tyson dey tell Chris Brown because nobody punch reach Tyson and Tyson know wetin him suffer for people hand sote him go broke. If Chris Brown feel say him sabi fight, make him go join boxing or army.

ASUU TELLS NIGERIANS; BEG FEDERAL GOVERNMENT NOT US

Nasir Fagge, National President, Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has urged Nigerians to prevail on the Federal Government to honour the agreement it signed with the union, to bring the union's four-month-old strike to an end.
Mr Fagge said that Nigerians should stop appealing to the union to call off its strike.
Mr Fagge stressed that rather than prevailing on ASUU to call off the strike, Nigerians should look at its demands and see their relevance to national development.
"Why is it that when issues like this come up, Nigerians will start begging ASUU to call off strike in the interest of the children and the country in general, rather than prevailing on government.
"I want to state here that we have a lot of respect and appreciate the concern of all Nigerians who have prevailed on ASUU to reconsider its stand and call off the strike.
"But sincerely, I think if people really care about this country and want to move it forward, they should refocus their thinking to government and prevail on them to implement the agreement and then we can start from there.
"The National Assembly had in the time past appealed to us to bend over and we did in the interest of the country– while negotiations lasted– but look at what is happening now", he said.
The ASUU president noted that when the union embarked on strike in 2011 over the same demands, the same appeal came from concerned Nigerians, with the assurance that the matter would be looked into urgently and its demands met.
He said that because of the need to respect the views of these Nigerians and to keep the system going, the union called off the strike and that, unfortunately, nothing was done about it.
"We shall no longer be coerced into calling off the strike and returning to classes because the last time we had such a strike was in 2011– when I was the Vice-President– and two years after, we have embarked on another strike over the same issue.
"I think as a nation, there is need for us to try and do the right thing by way of extracting commitment from our leaders because we cannot continue this way".
"Our system is getting bad every day to the extent that when we go out with our certificates, it no longer commands the respect it ought to, and that is why we must do all we could to re-engineer the system".
"You know that if products from our universities continue to study with little or non-existent infrastructure in place, as it is obtained today, they will fail to deliver and the entire responsibility falls back on our shoulders",  Mr Fagge said.
According to him, ASUU is committed to delivering on its mandate in order to produce students who are well-equipped.
He noted that it was on this premise that Nigerians must prevail on government to do the right thing once and for all.
"Everyone knows that our universities cannot compete, even with universities within Africa, let alone those in the larger world".
"Today, we witness brain drain from the system on the part of lecturers, thereby exporting values to other countries' economy".
"We should ask ourselves why Nigerians before now did so well abroad in different fields of endeavour and these are products from the same system that currently produces graduates who are largely seen as unemployable".
"We must show commitment and be proactive in addressing the rot in our university system, so that at the end of the day, our products will be able to compete favourably with their counterparts in other climes",  he said.

After all him long speech, him still tell F.G say make them try meet the agreement wey them sign.
But me dey wonder how ASUU presido want make we take beg Federal government? Abi him go give us Goodluck number make we call am?

GODS WORD SPECIALLY FOR YOU

Many people go through life without truly enjoying open doors. John 10:10says,"The thief cometh not,but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:i am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly". This scriptures tells us dat if dere is nothing 2 steal, never expect d devil. So if he ever shows up at all, ignore all d pretence, there is something dat he is targeting.May Satan fail in every area he has made you his target in Jesus name.Satan is called different names by people. You can call him any name you like - a thief, destroyer, liar, etc.but never call him a fool because he is not.The little I have discovered is dat d devil is aiming at one thing - to destroy your destiny. In getting his potential victim,he rarely uses frontal attack or brute force. But,if he does, dere must be a special reason. Why do you think Satan decided to completely take over d man who became notoriously mad in Mark 5:1-20? It is because he could see dat d
man could become a great evangelist dat would stop d kingdom of darkness. So before he stopped dem,all d demons flooded into him in order to stop him.Why do you think he possessed d woman of Luke 8:1-3 with powerful demons? It is because he somehow got to know dat she was meant to be a divine treasurer. In d same vein, when he somehow foresaw dat d woman of Samaria recorded in John 4 was going to be a vessel of honour to God,he kept on attacking her marriage. She went through five and was with a sixth man before her deliverance.Dere are ladies whose marriages have been on the line.Dey have found it difficult to settle down with a man. Some have committed suicide while others have been miserable and depressed. The Lord wants you to take courage and come to Him and He will help you to bear your burden and release your destiny. If d devil has been fighting you serious battles in your life,it is because he has seen something great coming. In d name of Jesus, dat
great thing dat d devil has seen in your life shall be made manifest.

FUTA V.C: WHY NIGERIAN GRADUATES ARE UNEMPLOYABLE

The Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Prof. Biyi Daramola, says Nigerian graduates are unemployable due to the lack of self discipline and commitment to vigorous academic pursuit.
The FUTA V.C said this in a lecture entitled; "The Role of Science and Technology in Human Resource Management", he presented at the Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, on Thursday.

He spoke at a forum organised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria. The Professor of Agricultural Economics said it was regrettable that many Nigerian graduates could not secure jobs after years of applications.

He said that the lack of exposure to science and Technology was also a major factor responsible for their plight. He also said it was high time the country's education curricula be fashioned in a manner to make mathematics compulsory for all courses at all levels.

This, he said, would boost students' interests in science and technology from their tender ages.
Daramola urged governments to ensure proper funding of science and technology at all levels of the academic cadre, adding that "they should also help in the establishment of monotechnics and polytechnics or universities of technology that would expose students to skills acquisition.

"Over the years, Nigerian education policies have recognised the importance of science-based courses in the nation's education curricular and thus pursued the policy of giving more attention to science-oriented courses during admissions into the nation's tertiary institutions."

The V.C talk say if government make schools put mind untop science and technology mata, say Naija goal of make we dey among developed ecomonies by 2020 go be small thing.
So graduates, una don hear o. Me even dey tire wen person wey go school no get shame dey talk say him no sabi use computer. If u no sabi use computer, wetin u go sabi use?

DAVID MARK: I WONDER IF ASUU AGREEMENT IS A PROPOSAL 'COS IT IS RIDICULOUS

SENATE President David Mark barely stopped short of calling those who negotiated the 2009 Federal Government agreement with the Academic Staff Union of Universities foolish.

Mark said the government negotiators couldn't differentiate between their right and left hands and that the ASUU leadership took advantage of their ignorance.

He said, "Listening to the agreement that was signed by the Federal Government as Comrade Uche Chukwumerije read out, I was really wondering whether this was signed or it was just a proposal.
"But when he concluded, he said it was signed. It only shows the level of people the executive sent to go and negotiate on their behalf because ab initio, people must be told the truth, what can be accomplished and what cannot be accomplished.

"This is where the Federal Government ought to call those who were party to this agreement. On the other hand, I think ASUU simply took advantage of the ignorance of those who were sent and simply just allowed this agreement to go on because it is obvious that this is going to be very difficult piece of paper to implement.

"They found that those who were sent there simply didn't know their right from their left and they just went ahead.

"I think that also is not fair because ASUU is an organisation in Nigeria and we are not going to go to another country to implement this piece of paper."

The Senate President spoke on the floor of the senate during a debate on a motion by Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba. The senate, in the motion supported by 107 members, said the ASUU strike, which began July1, 2013, had become a national embarrassment.

At the head of the Federal Government re-negotiating team  with ASUU in 2009 was the boardroom guru, Deacon Gamaliel Onosode. The members of the team were Prof. Musa Abdullahi, a former Pro-Chancellor of the University of Jos who died in 2008; Prof. Creg Iwu, ex-Pro-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka; Rev. Father T.E. Uwaifo, ex-Pro-Chancellor, Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma; Emeka Nwankpa, ex-Pro-Chancellor, Abia State University, Uturu; Ambassador Muhammed Adamu Jumba, ex-Pro-Chancellor, Bayero University, Kano; Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, Executive Secretary, Education Trust Fund; and Senator Abdullah Wali, who was a member until February 2008.

Chairman, Senate Committee on Education, Senator Uche Chukwumerije, who briefed his colleagues on the text of the FG-ASUU agreement said the varsity teachers negotiated N1.5tn, comprising Varsity Funding and Earned Allowance for lecturers.

He said that ASUU demanded that the government should spread the implementation of the pact for a period of three years at N500bn per year.

Chukwumerije, who admitted that some clauses in the agreement were  ambiguous, however said efforts by the government to raise funds to meet the ASUU demands were rejected by the lecturers.

He said that ASUU had rejected the N130bn offered them by government which comprised of N100bn for funding and N30bn as Earned Allowances.

Finally finally, David Mark beg ASUU people make them end strike as the strike don dey enter anoda thing.
But me dey ask, N1.3 trillion wey ASUU begin ask for, e too much.
Sha, these ASUU strike dey remind me of how football transfer dey be.

MILLITANTS BACK AGAIN; SET WARRI REFINERY ABLAZE

The Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company, a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, was on Tuesday razed by fire. The fire, which gutted the topping unit of the 35-year-old refinery, started about 11.00am, while crude oil refining process was on at the 125,000-barrel per day plant.

The entire Warri town and environs were said to have been engulfed by the smoke bellowing from the inferno. The fire was also said to have lasted for a few minutes before it was put off by fire fighters and safety officials of the company. The cause of the inferno could not be immediately ascertained, but the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, a militant group, said it set the plant ablaze in fulfilment of its earlier threat to hit oil installations.

The acting Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Ms. Tumini Green, in a statement, confirmed that there was a fire outbreak in the topping unit of the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company.

She, however, said the fire was promptly brought under control through the combined effort of the fire department and other workers of the refinery. Green explained that the fire, which started about 11am, was successfully extinguished without any fatality.

She said the unit involved was promptly isolated and shut down for safety, adding that the exact cause of the fire was being investigated by the management of the refinery.
According to her, appropriate steps will be taken to forestall a future occurrence. She said

"We wish to seize this opportunity to reassure members of the public that the NNPC continues to hold sufficient stock of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) and other petroleum products, and, therefore, there is no cause for panic buying," Green said.

MEND, in an email statement signed by its spokesperson, Jomo Gbomo, said its intention was to raze the entire refinery.

The statement read, "The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta takes responsibility for the sabotage this morning, Tuesday, October22, 2013 inside the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation's refinery in Warri, Delta State of Nigeria.
Hurricane Exodus was intended to burn down the entire refining facility. As long as President Goodluck Jonathan continues to rely on an unsustainable and fraudulent Niger Delta Amnesty Programme, peace and security will continue to elude his government in the region. Hurricane Exodus is on course."

Naija get many problems o. Jonathan never even see road where Boko-haram dey, our aeroplane people come carry their wahala of plane crash come. Now millitants done dey show themselves. No wonder Jonathan run go Israel go see Jesus. Lol

FINALLY, JONATHAN BEGS ASUU TO CALL OFF STRIKE

President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday appealed to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to return to the classrooms in the interest of their students.
He made the appeal at the inauguration of the College of Engineering Complex at the Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Ekiti State.
The three-storey college complex was also named after the President.
Jonathan urged ASUU members to heed his appeal saying that whatever their grievances might be, keeping students out of school for four months was unpatriotic.
"I once again appeal to the entire membership of ASUU to pause and ponder on the adverse effect of their action on the future of the vibrant youths of this great nation.
"The collective destiny of tens of thousands of tomorrow's leaders should not be held hostage to vagaries of labour disputes.
"As long as we are humans, as long as we are a developing society, this labour dispute must come up.
"I always say that even in the developed societies we hear about labour dispute; and there is no society, even the most developed, that has provided the facilities for every worker.

TOUCHINg: 15 YEAR OLD GOES INFRONT OF CONGREGATION AND BEGS TO BE ADOPTED

A 15-year-old Florida boy who's been in foster care his entire life is so desperate for a family to call his own, he recently took matters into his own hands.
Davion Navar Henry Only gathered his courage and stepped up to the pulpit at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in St. Petersberg, Florida, asking, point-blank, if anyone there might want to adopt him, saying to the church full of parishoners,
"I know God hasn't given up on me. So I'm not giving up either."
After learning that his biological mother, who gave birth to him while she was in prison, had passed away, he asked his caseworker, Connie Going, to take him to church so he could make his request. She agreed.
Arriving in a donated black suit too large for him, wearing a zip-on tie he wouldn't have known how to tie himself, he followed intently along with the sermon before declaring, "I'll take anyone. Old or young, dad or mom, black, white, purple. I don't care. And I would be really appreciative. The best I could be."

His mother had been in jail on petty theft and cocaine charges when he was born. After his 15 years in foster care, Davion looked her up for the first time and found out she had died. Since then, he's been working to manage his temper and pick up the grades he let slump.
He couldn't let nerves and shyness deter him from showing the people in the pews that he could become somebody's son. So he walked to the front of the church, and he let his earnestness speak.

When I read this boy story, nah water just dey full my eyes. This nah pikin wey know the true essence of family. Him dey find family, him no see while those wey get family dey use them do yeye.

UNIZIK UNDERGRADUATE CHALLENGES ASUU WITH A MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION

Distinguished ASUU faithfuls,
Now let us assume that the federal government (FG) is the reason for the prolonged industrial strike action whose negotiations has always ended in a deadlock.
Let us assume that the FG is nonchalant, recalcitrant, disingenuous, retrogressive and obdurate; no doubt.
Let us assume that the FG does not 'give a damn' about the crumbling education system in Nigeria.
…and conclusively, let us assume that the FG has gone haywire. Now, my million-dollar question is this; "is it wise for ASUU to go mad too, together with the FG on this issue by continuing the on-going strike, thereby assisting them (FG) to dig a deeper grave for the epileptic education system in Nigeria?"

Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone! I rest my case.
Ugonna Ugochukwu,
Unizik.

Una don read wetin this unizik student write. Wetin una think about am?

CROSS RIVER GOVERNOR REQUEST'S N800 MILLION FOR NEW POLYTECHNIC

Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River has urged the state's House of Assembly to approve N800 million for the newly-established state Polytechnic at Ugep in Yakurr Local Government Area of the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the money would be sourced from the state's Reserve Fund for Infrastructure Development, if approved.
Imoke made the request in a letter to the speaker of the state's House of Assembly, Mr Larry Odey.
A copy of the letter, seen by a correspondent the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Calabar on Wednesday quoted Imoke as saying that the fund would sustain the execution of on-going projects at the institution to meet accreditation requirements.
"Arising from the urgent need to sustain the execution of on-going projects at the Cross River State Polytechnic, Ugep, to meet the National Board for Technical Education's (NBTE's) requirements for accreditation and early take off of the institution.

Imoke said the re-enactment of the reserve fund law No. 7 of 2011, gave room for withdrawal upon a concurrent approval by the State Executive Council and the State House of Assembly.

ASUU STRIKE: AFTER FAILING TO RESOLVE CRISIS, EX-EDUCATION MINISTER JOINS STRIKE

The immediate past education minister, Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufai, who was sacked from the federal cabinet last month, has joined the ongoing strike by Academic Staff
Union of Universities, ASUU, which she failed to resolve while in office.

From inquiries at Bayero Universities, Kano, BUK, where Prof. Rufai was teaching Education Curriculum before joining the Jigawa State cabinet in 2007 as commissioner, and later the federal cabinet in 2011, revealed that though the former minister had returned to the institution, she could not resume work because of the industrial action.
Public Relations Officer of BUK, Mustapha Zaharaddeen, revealed in an interview today the former minister had joined her colleagues in the strike.

"How can she teach? She has joined the strike. She has no choice. How can anybody teach? Don't forget, ASUU National President is from BUK," Mr Zaharaddeen said.

When Prof. Rufai was asked if she had joined the ASUU strike, she merely retorted, "It is an unfair question. Ask my university."

Meanwhile during her reception in her home state Jigawa after her sack from President Jonathan's cabinet, she was asked by journalists whether she would join the ASUU strike, which she was negotiating away while in government, she responded "Don't make me controversial, don't make me controversial."

This life na wa. Today, person wey dey talk A go lata talk B. So after all her long talk wen she be minster, she still chop her vomit. She fall go teach nah.

MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTOR SESAN SPEAKS ABOUT CONTROVERSIAL SKELEWU ViDEO

An official statement from the music video director's team regarding the Skelewu video which was released yesterday shot by him. Davido tweeted yesterday that the video we all saw wasn't the official one and someone betrayed him by releasing it. He also said he's re-shooting the video with UK based music video director Moe Musa. Sesan has responded to all the hoopla. See his statement below

My attention is drawn toward  the chaos surrounding the release of the Skelewu video .
Myself and my team shot the video for Davido in Nigeria and to the best of my knowledge my client and his team were very happy with the result, when they watched/ and approved the video. If he has since had a change of heart, that is ok. I am not in any way responsible for the release of the video. I believe Davido and myself did a very good job regarding the video production and as a professional of over 10 years. I find it very irresponsible and immature if my client and his management publicly put out false statements/comments, in an attempt to tarnish my name, credibility and reputation.
I remain dedicated, humble, focused and as hard working as ever. Thank you to all my fans and industry professionals - Stay blessed.

Make Sesan forget Davido joor. Nah ova money dey worry Davido. If him no get money, him no go talk say him wan do new video. Too much money dey cause nonsense.
